Christopher Hemsworth is an Australian actor, who became known for playing the role of Kim Hyde in the Australian soap opera Home and Away. He is the brother of Liam Hemsworth.
In 2009 Chris Hemsworth was chosen to portray Thor in the film based on the comic-book character of the same name. Filming began in January 2010 and the film was released on April 29, 2011 in Brazil, one week earlier than in the United States. It was directed by Kenneth Branagh.
In 2012 he became better known for playing Thor in Os Vingadores (The Avengers).
