Aspects in Astrology

Aspects are angular relationships between points in the chart: planets, angles such as the Ascendant and Midheaven, fixed stars and other relevant factors.

They may be zodiacal or mundane. Mundane aspects are based on spatial relationships that are not limited to ecliptic longitude alone.

Trines and sextiles are usually read as harmonious. Squares and oppositions tend to be more tense. Conjunctions, parallels and contraparallels are more ambiguous and depend strongly on the planets involved.
