Colette Béatrice Aboulker-Muscat was a teacher, writer, natural healer and Kabbalist born in Algiers. From the prominent Aboulker family, she became known both for her work in the Resistance against the Vichy regime in Algiers during World War II and for the intellectual career that followed: she earned a degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne, studied psychology with Robert Desoille and developed a practice centered on the therapeutic power of mental imagery and dreams. Recognized for her wartime service, she received the Croix de Guerre in 1948. After emigrating to Jerusalem in 1954, she worked on the integration of North African immigrants and chaired the North African section of WIZO, receiving the title Yakir Yerushalayim in 1995. As a spiritual teacher she represented a tradition known as the Kabbalah of Light (Merkavah), teaching visualization exercises and techniques aimed at healing and self-knowledge. Author of several books on dream imagery and visualization therapy, her influence continued through therapists, researchers and centers devoted to therapeutic imagination. Her legacy is preserved by disciples and institutions that continue to apply her practices at the interface of psychology, spirituality and healing.
