Madison Bailey is an American actress best known for playing Kiara “Kie” Carrera, the lead character in the Netflix series Outer Banks, which brought her international recognition from 2020. She began her career young, with small appearances in series such as Mr. Mercedes and Constantine, and gained traction on television with a recurring role in Black Lightning (2018–2019). Born in 1999 and adopted, she grew up in a large family; her ancestry includes Italian and Mauritian roots. Having considered music early in her artistic life, she shifted toward modeling and acting in her teens, building a filmography that covers both television series and feature films. In recent years, in addition to returning to screens in film and television projects, she released music singles in 2024, expanding her artistic work beyond acting. Publicly out as pansexual since 2020, she is also involved in conversations about representation in contemporary entertainment.
