Robert Lyle Knepper is an American actor best known for memorable television roles. He gained international recognition as Theodore “T‑Bag” Bagwell in the series Prison Break (2005–2009, 2017), a part that established him as a performer of complex villains. Over his career he has had notable appearances in series such as Heroes, iZombie, Stargate Universe and the Twin Peaks revival, and has guest‑starred in shows including The Twilight Zone, Star Trek: The Next Generation, ER and Law & Order. In film, he has been part of both commercial and higher‑profile productions, including Hitman, Transporter 3, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and Good Night, and Good Luck. Trained in the theatre circuit with stints in Chicago and New York before moving into television and film, Knepper built a repertoire centered on characters with strong dramatic impact.
