Ross Powers is an American snowboarder known for his prominence in the halfpipe, a world champion and Olympic gold medalist. He became a central figure in the sport by winning the halfpipe gold at the 2002 Olympic Games, leading a U.S. sweep of the event with a run that combined bold tricks, including a signature method grab and several technical spins.

Over his career Powers competed at elite events such as the X Games, the U.S. and European Opens and the Vans Cup, and he won the overall Mt. Bachelor Grand Prix title in the 2004–2005 season. In 2007 he broadened his competitive focus by returning to snowboard cross, reaching World Cup podiums.

Beyond competing, he directs the snowboard program at Stratton Mountain School and helped develop features such as a Superpipe and the RossCross Family Terrain Park. In 2001 he founded the Ross Powers Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports talented athletes with limited resources, and in 2010 he helped create the Level Field Fund to expand opportunities in the sport.

His legacy combines high-level sporting achievements, involvement in training young athletes and initiatives to democratize access to snowboard coaching and development.
