Tisa Farrow (Theresa Magdalena Farrow) was an American actress and photographic model, a member of a film-connected family—daughter of director John Farrow and actress Maureen O’Sullivan, and sister of Mia Farrow. Active mainly in the 1970s and early 1980s, she appeared in more than ten film and television productions, working in American cinema and in collaborations with Italian filmmakers. Her public notoriety rests largely on roles in horror films that became cult classics, notably Zombi 2 (1979) and Antropophagus (1980), works that marked the European splatter subgenre and influenced generations of filmmakers and horror fans. She also appeared in a range of titles from drama to comedy and took part in television productions that increased her visibility. Tisa’s career reflects that of an actress who, while not achieving the mainstream stardom of some relatives, left a mark on the niches of 1970s fantastic and exploitation cinema. Her filmography continues to be remembered by collectors and genre enthusiasts.
