Valérie Trierweiler is a French journalist. Still as Valérie Massonneau, her maiden name, she studied History and Political Science at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Twice divorced, the most recent from Denis Trierweiler, with whom she had three children, she has been the companion of politician François Hollande since 2006. She was the First Lady of France (not officially married to Hollande).
