Wah Ming Chang was a Chinese-American designer, sculptor, and artist. He is best known for the sculptures and props he designed for Star Trek (the original series), including the tricorder and the communicator.
In addition to his close association with the science fiction series, Wah also became known for his work on Pinocchio (1940) and on Cleopatra (1963), starring Elizabeth Taylor.
