Alison Stewart Lurie was an American novelist and scholar, noted for her satirical humor and close attention to personal relationships within intellectual settings. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1985 for Foreign Affairs (1984), a work that exemplifies her interest in social comedy involving professors and complicated marriages.
