American actress Beth Chamberlin is best known for her long-running work on the soap opera Guiding Light, where she played Beth Raines — including multiple incarnations of the character — in various periods from the late 1980s until the show ended in 2009. Her performance during the show's final years earned her a 2010 Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, along with other genre awards over the course of her career. Trained in dance and theater, Chamberlin has moved between stage and television: she has credits in regional productions of classical and musical theater and guest roles on primetime series such as Columbo, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Blue Bloods.
