Brian Russell De Palma is an American filmmaker.
His works primarily explore themes of suspense, murder, and psychological disorder, among others. Because of his cinematic style, De Palma is considered by many to be the successor to Alfred Hitchcock.
He was married from 1979 to 1984 to actress Nancy Allen, who starred in some of his films from that period, such as Vestida para Matar and Blow Out.
