Charlie Carver (Charles Carver Martensen) is an American actor known for recurring television roles and for work in film and theatre. He rose to prominence portraying Porter Scavo on Desperate Housewives (2008–2012) and Ethan on Teen Wolf, roles he shared with his twin brother Max Carver, with whom he frequently collaborates in television and film productions. A University of Southern California graduate with training in the dramatic arts, Charlie began his career after being discovered by an agent in Santa Monica. Since then he has appeared in series such as The Leftovers, Ratched and American Horror Story: NYC, as well as films including The Boys in the Band — whose stage production he was part of on Broadway — and The Batman (2022). Open about his sexual orientation since 2016, Charlie has also spoken publicly about having been a victim of abuse during his career, positions that place his personal experience in conversation with broader debates in the entertainment industry. His work spans television, film and theatre, establishing him as a recurring presence in contemporary dramatic productions.
