Christina Hart is an American actress, producer, film director and playwright whose career began in childhood, with a primary focus on the theater. After debuting on television and in films in the 1960s and 1970s, she appeared in titles such as The Stewardesses, The Mad Bomber and Charley Varrick, as well as numerous guest spots on popular TV series of that era. Although she worked in film and television, Hart has said her passion is theater, where she performed extensively as an actor and later worked as a director. As a playwright and producer she founded DOXA Productions and, since 2006, has produced and directed stage work under that banner. She wrote plays including Women Over the Influence and Birds of a Feather, receiving critical recognition that included a LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award nomination for Best Original Play in 2012. She has directed more than fifty productions, also establishing herself as a teacher of actors. In the educational sphere she teaches acting at the Hollywood Court Theater, sharing her practical experience in the performing arts. Her career combines on-screen acting, dramatic writing and theatrical direction, giving her a presence both in the independent circuit and in the local theater scene.
