Christophe Bourseiller, born Christophe Gintzburger, is a multifaceted figure in the French cultural scene: actor, journalist, writer and researcher. He began as a child actor in films by directors such as Yves Robert and Jean-Luc Godard, and over the decades has maintained a presence in cinema, television and theatre. At the same time he developed an active career in journalism and radio, presenting and producing programs devoted to avant-garde music and political history. As an author he has published about thirty works for both general and scholarly audiences, treating avant-garde movements, the counterculture, industrial music and political extremism—most notably on the French far left and on Maoist and Situationist currents. His bibliography includes books on rock, political history and intellectual profiles, reflecting an interest in the intersection of culture and activism. A scholar and collector, he has taught at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques and at Sciences Po Lille and has conducted university research on French collaborationist movements after World War II; he also amassed documentary archives of pamphlets and political materials which he donated to research institutions. His career combines artistic work, historical research and cultural outreach, leaving a mark in contemporary political history and cultural studies.
