Cindy Parlow Cone is a soccer executive and the current president of the United States Soccer Federation. A former professional player, she excelled as a forward and goal scorer during her college and international career, winning two Olympic gold medals and the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Her playing career included top individual honors in collegiate soccer, multiple national and conference titles, and two Hermann Trophy awards. After retiring from the field, Parlow Cone moved into administrative and technical roles: she served on refereeing, sports medicine and appeals committees and on the federation’s athletes’ council, and she led youth development projects. She took an executive position in 2019, was named interim president in 2020, and was elected to a full term in 2022. As a coach, she led Portland Thorns FC to the inaugural National Women’s Soccer League championship in 2013. Her record combines high-level sporting achievements with institutional influence on the development and governance of women’s soccer in the United States.
