Giuliano Razzoli is a former Italian alpine ski racer who specialized in slalom, known for his technical precision and ability to deliver strong results in fast-elimination events. Nicknamed “Razzo,” he built his reputation primarily in the late 2000s and throughout the 2010s with steady performances in the World Cup and continental competitions. His highest-profile achievement is the gold medal in slalom at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, a result that returned Italy to the top of the discipline after the victories of Alberto Tomba and Piero Gros. Over his career he earned wins and podiums in the World Cup and Europa Cup, as well as medals in military championships and national titles. Razzoli’s career featured notable highs and some injuries that affected its continuity, but they did not diminish the significance of his sporting accomplishments: he set longevity records on slalom podiums and maintained a regular presence on the international circuit. After retiring at the end of the 2023–2024 season, he went into the family balsamic vinegar business, took on institutional responsibilities with the Consorzio di tutela dell’Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia, and worked as a technical commentator for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan–Cortina.
