Kevin Dillon is an American actor whose career spans from late-1980s film to contemporary television. He first gained notice with roles in films such as Heaven Help Us (1985) and rose to prominence as the soldier Bunny in Platoon (1986). Over the following decade he appeared in notable projects including The Blob (1988), The Doors (1991), in which he portrayed drummer John Densmore, and No Escape (1994). In the 2000s he moved largely into television, holding a regular role on That's Life and making appearances on 24, while also appearing in the film Poseidon. His best-known role came on HBO's Entourage (2004–2011), where he played Johnny “Drama” Chase — a performance that earned him three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination, and which he reprised for the 2015 film adaptation. More recently he has continued to work in films and series, including roles in Hotel for Dogs, How to Be a Gentleman and the biographical drama Reagan (2024). His career is notable for a successful transition between film and television and for sustained work in both supporting and leading roles across several decades.
