Australian actress and cultural entrepreneur Kym Wilson rose to prominence at a young age with roles on television and in theatre. She gained national recognition for her portrayal of Rosemary Fitzgerald in Brides of Christ, a performance that earned her the Logie for Most Popular New Talent, and she was part of the casts of notable series such as A Country Practice and Heartbreak High. Her career combines film, television films and theatre work, including appearances in Sydney Theatre Company productions such as The Crucible and Blackrock.
In addition to acting, Wilson presented the music program Video Smash Hits and took part in musical projects and voice work for games. In the mid-1990s she co-founded the theatre company Pork Chop Productions, showing an interest in theatrical production as well. She later moved to the United States to refine her dramatic training, then returned to work that alternates between acting and entrepreneurial activities in the creative sector.
More recently she divides her time between leading audiovisual projects and managing her own production company with her husband, while continuing to appear on stage and screen and remaining remembered both for her youthful television roles and for her ongoing work in theatre and cultural production.
