Laurent Boyer is a French presenter known for his long career in radio and television. Trained in letters and musicology, he began broadcasting in the 1980s on stations such as Radio 7, Europe 1 and Europe 2, building a reputation as a host of music and interview programs. On television he became prominent at M6 from the channel’s launch in 1987, where he presented popular formats such as Graines de star, Les Moments de vérité and Fréquenstar.
Across the 2000s and 2010s, Boyer alternated between television and radio projects: he hosted Tête dans les étoiles on RTL until 2010, then presented regional and entertainment shows on France 3, including Midi en France and productions linked to the Eurovision event. He returned to radio in 2019, reviving the Fréquenstar concept in a new version.
His career was also marked by a serious car accident in 2005, of which he was the sole survivor, an episode that received wide coverage. In his personal life he had public relationships and is the father of a daughter. Boyer’s work has had an impact on French entertainment, notably through his long-standing presence on variety programs and his visibility during M6’s early decades.
