Leandra Rodrigues Leal Braz e Silva is a Brazilian actress.

She is the granddaughter of cultural producer Américo Leal and the daughter of actress Ângela Leal. She began in the theater at seven years old and on television at eight, when she appeared in the final episode of the soap opera Pantanal, in which her mother also worked.

An only child, she says she was influenced by her mother in choosing her career, since from a very young age she lived in the artistic environment and became fascinated by the art of acting.

She was married for seven years to the Pernambuco singer José Paes de Lira, known as Lirinha; their marriage ended in 2010.

In 1994 she took part in the miniseries Confissões de Adolescente, broadcast by TV Cultura and Band, playing the character Mariana, but her first notable television role was in the soap opera Explode Coração, as the character Yanka.

She received national and international awards at only 13 years old for her performance in A Ostra e o Vento, her first film, in which she acted alongside major actors such as Lima Duarte and Fernando Torres.

She has worked with important Brazilian directors such as Walter Lima Jr., Jorge Furtado, Murilo Salles, Paulo Cesar Saraceni, Júlio Bressane, Sérgio Rezende, Moacyr Góes and José Eduardo Belmonte, and at 18 she created her own production company called As Três Meninas, engaged in socio-cultural events.

In 2000 she co-starred in the miniseries A Muralha and later in the soap opera O Cravo e a Rosa, standing out in both.

In 2004 she took part in the film Cazuza - O Tempo Não Pára, as Bebel, the singer's best friend. In theater, she wrote, directed and produced the play Impressões do meu Quarto, with Bianca Gismonti, in 2005. She also took part in Antonio Pedro's staging of the national classic Se Correr o Bicho Pega, Se Ficar o Bicho Come, in Tartufo by Tonio Carvalho, and in Simpatia by Renata Melo.

In 2006 she joined the cast of Zuzu Angel and acted in the soap opera Páginas da Vida.

In 2009 she was one of the protagonists of the series Decamerão - A Comédia do Sexo, alongside names such as Deborah Secco, Lázaro Ramos, Daniel de Oliveira and Drica Moraes, among others.

In 2010 she played Agostina, one of the protagonists of the soap opera Passione. In 2011 she was part of the cast of the film Estamos Juntos, appeared in the final episode of the soap opera Insensato Coração, and also took part in a segment of Fantástico called A História do Amor, in which she portrayed 64 different characters alongside actor Daniel de Oliveira. In 2012 she appeared in the episode A Sexóloga de Floripa of the series As Brasileiras. In the same year, Leandra starred in the soap opera Cheias de Charme, playing the dreamer Maria do Rosário. In the soap opera she even sang some songs.

In 2013 she portrayed veterinarian Zélia, one of the central characters of Saramandaia.

She is the standard-bearer of Rio de Janeiro's largest carnival block, Cordão da Bola Preta.

She made her directorial debut with the documentary about drag performers Divinas Divas, whose name is taken from the eponymous stage show — which includes a performance in the film — starring Rogéria. Partially funded by crowdfunding, it premiered in 2014.
