French-American actor Michael William "Mike" Marshall had a long, low‑profile career as a supporting actor in film and television. The son of actor‑producer Bill Marshall and actress Michèle Morgan, he graduated in dramatic arts in Paris and joined successful stage productions before turning to film. He became known in France for the role of aviator Alan Mac Intosh in La Grande Vadrouille, one of the major popular hits of French comedy. Over the decades he appeared in works by national and international directors, moving between French, Italian and Anglo‑American productions. His filmography includes roles in emblematic titles such as Paris brûle‑t‑il?, Le Serpent, Chacal (The Day of the Jackal) and Moonraker, and collaborations with filmmakers such as Gérard Oury, René Clément and Fred Zinnemann. Recognized for his versatility as a character actor, Marshall also worked in television and became a recurring presence in casts of popular comedies and dramas. Father of six, he left a legacy as an interpreter of memorable supporting roles that contributed to the Franco‑American film landscape from the 1960s to the 1980s.
