N'Golo Kanté is a defensive midfielder of French nationality and Malian descent, noted for his ball-recovery ability, intensity and reading of the game. Discovered at modest French clubs, he made his name at Caen before establishing himself in the Premier League with Leicester City, where he was a central figure in the unlikely 2015–16 English title win.
