Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé, is a former Brazilian soccer player who played as a forward.
Discovered by the star Waldemar de Brito, Pelé began playing for Santos FC at 15, for the national team at 16, and won his first FIFA World Cup at 17.
He is the all-time leading scorer for the Brazilian national team and the only soccer player to have been part of three World Cup-winning teams.
