Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria, known as the Princess of Orange, is the heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and a central figure of the House of Orange-Nassau. The eldest daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, she has been in the public eye since birth and officially became the princess heir in 2013, a position that places her first in the line of succession under the law. Educated at Gymnasium Sorghvliet and, from 2022, as a university student at the University of Amsterdam, Amalia balances academic studies with the ceremonial duties typical of her station. Since turning 18 she has been a formal member of the Council of State, exercising constitutional prerogatives. Beyond institutional obligations, she maintains personal interests in sports such as skiing and hockey, speaks English and Spanish, and has undertaken discreet professional experiences intended to provide contact with society.
