Randall Park is an American actor, comedian, writer and director, known for roles in television, film and independent productions. He became widely known for the character Louis Huang on the sitcom Fresh Off the Boat (2015–2020), a role that earned him a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination, and for portraying agent Jimmy Woo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including appearances in WandaVision and the Ant-Man films. In film, he gained attention for his portrayal of the North Korean dictator in The Interview (2014) and for co-starring in and co-writing the romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe (2019) with Ali Wong.
A graduate in English with a postgraduate degree in Asian American Studies from UCLA, Park began his career in university theater and a series of short films and web series, creating and starring in projects for Channel 101 and collaborating with collectives such as Wong Fu Productions. His work includes original writing, award-winning shorts and directing, as well as recurring roles on series such as Veep and Supah Ninjas.
Park’s career is characterized by versatility across comedy and drama, appearances in popular franchises and creative involvement in independent productions. His contributions include strengthening the presence of Asian American performers in television comedy and contemporary commercial cinema.
