Rodrigo Maranguape Lombardi is a Brazilian actor.

Son of a housewife (Rose Lombardi) and a sales representative (Ary Lombardi), and with four siblings (Andrea Lombardi, Bruna Lombardi, Pablo Lombardi and Kauê Lombardi), Rodrigo Lombardi wanted to be a volleyball player when, at 17, he went to study in San Diego, in the United States. However, without success, he returned to São Paulo and worked as a travel agent and waiter until he performed in his first play. In 1999, he joined Grupo Tapa, one of the most important theater groups in Brazil.

He made his acting debut in the children's play João e o Pé de Feijão, before debuting on television in the soap opera Meu Pé de Laranja Lima on TV Bandeirantes.

He revealed that he did about 50 auditions to secure a prominent television role. He also said that before being called to act in Bang Bang, the soap opera that marked his debut on Rede Globo in 2005, he was trying to work as a store salesperson at a shopping mall. He says he even considered giving up the profession because of the difficulty of getting good work.

In 2009, before being confirmed in the title role of Caminho das Índias, Rodrigo had been confirmed for the miniseries Maysa, but Glória Perez (author of Caminho das Índias) insisted on having the actor in her soap opera, and Jayme Monjardim (director of Maysa) released him for the production.

In 2011 he played another important role in his career: the protagonist Herculano Quintanilha in the 11 p.m. soap opera O Astro. Later he appeared in the soap opera Salve Jorge, by Glória Perez, portraying the protagonist Théo.
