An American-born singer and actress based in the United Kingdom, Sinitta rose to commercial prominence in the 1980s with a string of pop and dance singles that charted across Europe and Oceania. Her best-known hits include "So Macho", "Toy Boy", "GTO" and "Cross My Broken Heart", songs that established her image as a dance-pop artist and earned significant chart positions in the UK, Switzerland, Spain and Australia.
Raised in musical theatre and television from childhood, Sinitta appeared in West End shows and film productions before establishing herself as a recording artist.
