Yoná Magalhães Gonçalves Mendes da Costa was a Brazilian actress.

Yoná began her career at Rádio e TV Tupi in 1954, playing small roles and appearing as an extra.

In the theatre she worked with several Brazilian playwrights but devoted herself more to television, where she carried out the majority of her work.

Yoná Magalhães was the first leading lady (mocinha) of Rede Globo's cast.

She starred in major television successes such as: O Sheik de Agadir, Eu Compro Esta Mulher, A Gata de Vison, O Outro and many others
