Antônio Ermírio de Moraes was a Brazilian entrepreneur, engineer, and industrialist.
He was president and a member of the board of directors of Grupo Votorantim.
The entrepreneur's personal fortune was estimated at US$12.7 billion (according to Forbes' 2014 list), making him one of the wealthiest people in the world.
Because of his intense social activity and rising business career, the entrepreneur is an icon of the industrial business class.
His curriculum vitae also lists the Eminent Engineer of the Year Award, an honor received in 1979.
In 2003 he received the Medal of Knowledge from the Federal Government.
