Danielle Rose Collins is an American professional tennis player known for her aggressive style and the nickname “Danimal.” A graduate of the University of Virginia, where she won the NCAA singles title in 2014 and 2016 and received the Honda Sports Award, she established herself after moving from the collegiate circuit to the professional tour. On the WTA Tour she reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 7 and won two WTA titles in 2021 (Palermo and the Silicon Valley Classic). Her career includes notable Grand Slam runs: a semifinal at the 2019 Australian Open, a final at the 2022 Australian Open, and a quarterfinal at the 2020 French Open.
