Dick Tufeld was an American actor and voice actor whose voice became a recurring presence on twentieth‑century television and in popular entertainment. He worked as a narrator, host and announcer on a range of series and programs, accumulating credits from the 1940s and becoming especially prominent in U.S. television production. He is best remembered for his work on Lost in Space, where, in addition to serving as narrator and host, he provided the iconic voice of the B‑9 robot across dozens of episodes — a role that brought him popular recognition and repeated appearances in spin‑offs and tributes. Over the course of his career he also lent his voice to animated series and variety programs, serving as narrator of Spider‑Man and His Amazing Friends and appearing in series such as Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
