Duda Beat, the stage name of Eduarda Bittencourt Simões, is a singer and songwriter from Pernambuco who has established herself in Brazil’s independent pop scene. Known as the “queen of pop sofrência,” she gained attention with her debut album Sinto Muito (2018), which Rolling Stone listed among the best national records and which earned her the APCA Revelation Trophy that same year. Her music combines regional rhythms—especially brega and elements of ciranda—with pop and indie sonorities, producing a distinct voice centered on love and female empowerment.
Her path includes time as a backing vocalist in the Rio indie scene and a creative turning point after a spiritual retreat, when she turned romantic experiences into songs. Her second album, Te Amo Lá Fora (2021), expanded her reach, with tracks well received on streaming platforms and performances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza.
From 2023 she began a new phase by signing with Universal Music Brasil, releasing Tara e Tal (2024) and later the project esse delírio vol.1 (2025). She has stayed relevant across mainstream and digital arenas, with viral singles and a position as a judge on The Voice Brasil, consolidating her role as a reference in contemporary Brazilian pop.
