Elise Neal is an American actress whose work spans film, television and production. Originally from Memphis, she graduated in performing arts and began her career in musical theatre before moving to Los Angeles, where appearances in series and commercials led to her film debut in 1992. She rose to prominence in 1997 with three high-profile films that boosted her career, notably Scream 2, in which she played Hallie, and later roles in films such as Mission to Mars (2000), Paid in Full (2002) and Hustle and Flow (2005). On television she was a regular on the sitcom The Hughleys (1998–2002), a series about an African American family moving into a predominantly white neighborhood that earned NAACP Image Award nominations. Over the following decades Neal alternated recurring roles and guest appearances on prominent series, while also joining the casts of independent films and blockbusters such as Logan (2017). She expanded into producing, creating television and film projects, and launched ventures related to music and athletic apparel, establishing a versatile professional profile in entertainment.
