Ernesto Paglia is a journalist who graduated from ECA‑USP and has had a long career in Brazilian television, notably at Rede Globo, where he worked for more than four decades. He began as a reporter while still a student and became an international correspondent, with postings in London and coverage from conflict zones, in addition to extensive work on sporting events and special reports.
He played a key role in renewing Globo Repórter in the 1980s, authoring significant documentary reports, and took part in creating and hosting programs and columns on news channels and newscasts, such as Painel and the Conecte column. He also conceived and presented documentary‑format journalistic projects, including Globo Mar, which received institutional recognition.
Author of the book Diário de Bordo — JN no Ar, Paglia led national coverage projects and international expeditions on the environment and climate change, producing documentaries for streaming platforms. In 2024 he became ambassador of the CARDE Museum and in 2026 began hosting Roda Viva on TV Cultura, while remaining active in lectures and audiovisual initiatives.
