Jeff Branson is an American actor best known for his work in television soap operas. He rose to prominence playing central roles on daytime serials such as Jonathan Lavery on All My Children, Shayne Lewis on Guiding Light, and Ronan Malloy on The Young and the Restless, performances that earned him nominations and awards within the daytime drama circuit. His career began with appearances in smaller series and films before he established himself in soaps, including guest spots on Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, The Mentalist, and Supernatural, and a film role in I Spit on Your Grave (2010). He remained on Guiding Light until the show ended and received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Supporting Actor for his work on All My Children. The role of Ronan Malloy broadened his visibility by introducing a complex police-and-family storyline to The Young and the Restless; that portrayal also brought fan-award recognition. More recently he has appeared in contemporary, widely seen series, including a turn as Neil Armstrong in For All Mankind, reflecting a move from the world of soap operas into contemporary television drama.
