John Forbes Nash Jr. was an American mathematician who worked on game theory, differential geometry and partial differential equations, serving as a Senior Research Mathematician at Princeton University. He shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994 with Reinhard Selten and John Harsanyi.
Nash also became known for having his life portrayed in the film Uma Mente Brilhante, winner of four Oscars (nominated for eight), based on the eponymous biographical book, which portrayed his genius for mathematics and his struggle with schizophrenia.
