Mark McMorris is a Canadian professional snowboarder known for his specialization in slopestyle and big air. A leading figure on the international circuit, he built a career notable for technical innovations — including the first Backside Triple Cork 1440 and novel rail tricks — and for a long string of results at the X Games and the Olympics. With multiple titles at the Winter X Games and dozens of medals, McMorris holds records at that event and has collected wins at competitions such as the World Snowboard Tour and the US Open. At the Olympics, he won three consecutive bronze medals in slopestyle (2014, 2018, 2022), establishing himself as one of the sport’s most consistent competitors. His career has also included remarkable recoveries from serious injuries — including a fractured femur and a backcountry accident with injuries that required surgery — from which he returned to the top of the sport in a short time. Beyond competition, McMorris has taken part in video productions and campaigns for prominent snowboard brands, expanding his public presence and influence in the sport.
