Michèle Torr, born Michelle Odette Kléberte Tort, is a French singer whose career stretches back to the 1960s. She debuted in 1963 with the French hit “Dans mes bras, oublie ta peine” and built a varied discography over several decades, with notable albums and singles released from the 1960s through the 2000s, including Je m'appelle Michèle, Une petite française, J'en appelle à la tendresse and later compilations.
Over the course of her career she took part twice in the Eurovision Song Contest: in 1966 she represented Luxembourg with “Ce soir, je t'attendais” and in 1977 she represented Monaco with “Une petite française”. Her career shows fluctuations in popularity, with peaks of recognition in the late 1970s and a continued presence in the francophone popular repertoire.
Beyond her work as a performer, her output spans several styles, including a French-language approach to country music (À nos beaux jours, 1995) and tributes to key figures of French song.
