Val Valentino, the stage name of illusionist Leonard Montano, known in Brazil as Mister M, is an American illusionist and actor, known for revealing the secrets of magic tricks in practice.
Valentino starred in a series of four television specials, exposing the methods behind numerous classic magic tricks and illusions on the U.S. television network Fox.
In the final special he revealed his identity, gaining some notoriety within the magic community, and at the same time resulting in several lawsuits.
They were also broadcast in the United Kingdom by ITV during the late 1990s and are still occasionally repeated on ITV4.
They were shown in Brazil in 1999 as a segment of the program Fantástico, broadcast by Rede Globo. The segment featured scripts by Luiz Petry and narration by announcer Cid Moreira.
Mister M returned to Brazilian television in 2007 on Rede Record with the segment "A Volta do Mágico Mascarado" (The Return of the Masked Magician) on the program Tudo é Possível.
