Sophie Dorothea Ulrica Alice of Prussia was queen consort of Greece as the wife of Constantine I, serving in that role from 1913 to 1917 and again from 1920 to 1922. Born into the Prussian imperial family, she was the daughter of the future Emperor Frederick III and Victoria, the Princess Royal, which placed her within a European dynastic network that included Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Kaiser Wilhelm II. She married Crown Prince Constantine in 1889 in a union marked by family religious tensions that required both Protestant and Orthodox ceremonies. Greek court life and her ties to the House of Hohenzollern shaped her public position and influenced the political dynamics between Greece and Germany.
