Tadeu Schmidt is a Brazilian journalist and television presenter with an established career in broadcasting. He began in 1994 at TV Nacional de Brasília and later joined TV Globo as a sports reporter, contributing to programs such as Esporte Espetacular and Globo Esporte. He took part in major coverages, including Formula 1 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Over the years he became known as a presenter: he hosted sports segments on Bom Dia Brasil and Fantástico, where he introduced a more relaxed way of showing the round’s goals and created widely noticed features like the “Cavalinhos do Fantástico” and the Detetive Virtual format, dedicated to checking viewers’ content.
He received professional recognition, including the Comunique-se award for Best Television Sports Journalist in 2011, and in 2013 took over as the main presenter of Fantástico. In 2022 he was invited to present the reality show Big Brother Brasil, marking a transition to a new nationally visible role.
