Elaine Devry, born Thelma Elaine Mahnken (1930–2023), was an American actress and model active mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. She began her career as a teenage model and made her film debut under the stage name Elaine Davis, co-starring with Mickey Rooney in The Atomic Kid. Her film credits also include China Doll (1958) and A Guide for the Married Man (1967).
On television, Devry was a frequent presence on popular series of the era, with multiple appearances on Perry Mason — including a prominent role as the defendant Janice Wainwright — and guest spots on Bonanza, 77 Sunset Strip, Burke’s Law, I Dream of Jeannie, Marcus Welby, Dragnet and other high‑rating programs. She also appeared in episodes of My Three Sons and Death Valley Days.
Throughout her life, media attention focused both on her film and television roles and on her personal life, including marriages to entertainment figures. In later decades she gradually stepped back from acting and lived in Oregon, where she died in 2023, leaving a legacy tied to the golden age of American television and film.
