Kenneth A. Bianchi is an American criminal convicted of multiple murders, known for his collaboration with his cousin Angelo Buono Jr. in the series of killings dubbed the "Hillside Stranglers" in Los Angeles in the late 1970s. The pair used false identities and posed as police officers to lure, subdue and abduct victims, subjecting them to mistreatment before killing them, with strangulation the most frequent method used.

Bianchi's childhood and adolescence were marked by adoption and family difficulties, and his adult life included unstable employment, involvement in prostitution and petty theft. Frequent changes of residence and frustrated ambitions, such as his desire to become a police officer, formed his background prior to the crimes.

Arrested in January 1979 after leaving evidence that linked his actions to murders committed in Washington, Bianchi was convicted and is serving a sentence in that state’s correctional system. The case drew wide public attention because of the violence of the crimes, the offenders’ collaboration and the impact on contemporary police investigations.
