Margaux Pinot is a French judoka who competes in the under-70 kg category, with a career defined by continental titles and success in team events. Developed at clubs such as Vesoul, Mulhouse and Levallois, she established herself internationally with medals at the European and World Championships, including the European gold in 2020 and a World Championship bronze in 2019. Known for decisive contributions in team competitions, Pinot was part of the French squad that won the team gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and was a member of the world team champions in 2014. In 2024 she won her first individual world title in Abu Dhabi. Her career has also included episodes of conflict and legal disputes involving teammates and a coach, circumstances that prompted club changes and media attention. Serving in the cadre of elite athletes, she was promoted to sergeant in 2022 and was made a chevalière of the Légion d'honneur in 2021.
