Chris Marques, stage name of Jean-Christophe Marques, is a Franco-Spanish-Portuguese dancer, choreographer, and television personality recognized for his work in Latin dance and for serving as a judge and artistic director on entertainment programs. Trained in ballroom competitions from his teens, he made an international career alongside his partner Jaclyn Spencer, with whom he won important titles and earned competitive recognition, including world salsa championships in the early 2000s. Shifting between stage and television, Marques expanded his reach as a choreographer for companies such as Cuban Groove and Dance Rocks and as a contributor to productions like the British series Strictly Come Dancing. His TV prominence in France increased in 2011 when he joined the jury and took on the artistic director role for Danse avec les stars, a position that established him as a visible figure in dance and entertainment. Besides competitions and television, he has worked as artistic director for large-scale events, appeared on numerous programs as a contestant and presenter, and lent his voice to animated dubbing.
