Brazilian actor who rose to prominence in the 1990s as a member of the cast of the telenovela De Corpo e Alma, in which he played the driver Bira. Born in Belo Horizonte, he began his career in the local theatre, winning newcomer awards, and moved to Rio de Janeiro seeking opportunities, also taking part in avant‑garde plays and in television and film productions.
