Lisa Michelle Bonet is an American actress who rose to prominence in the 1980s for her role as Denise Huxtable Kendall on The Cosby Show. The charismatic, culturally resonant character led Bonet to star in the spin-off A Different World, which followed the protagonist’s college experience. Bonet alternated television work with film roles, standing out in the thriller Angel Heart (1987) and in later films such as Enemy of the State (1998), High Fidelity (2000) and Biker Boyz (2003).
