Paloma Roberta Silva Santos, known as MC Loma, is a digital influencer and former Brazilian singer who rose to national prominence in 2018 as the vocalist of the trio MC Loma e As Gêmeas Lacração. The group achieved wide attention with the hit “Envolvimento,” which topped Spotify’s viral charts and amassed hundreds of millions of views on YouTube, becoming one of the songs of Carnival 2018.
MC Loma’s work was characterized by music videos with a comic tone and neon makeup aesthetics, as well as performances at carnival street blocks and collaborations that drew established artists. In February 2018 the trio signed with Start Music (KondZilla Records), but they ended the contract at the end of the year citing mismanagement, which led to a contractual dispute that at one point prevented them from performing for nearly a year.
Since resuming activities in 2019 the artists have diversified their income through partnerships and work on social media. With the arrival of motherhood in 2022, MC Loma has focused part of her career on being an influencer.
