Sophie von Haselberg is an American actress and producer whose career spans theater, film, and television. The daughter of actress Bette Midler and artist Martin von Haselberg, she graduated from Yale with a degree in sociology and East Asian studies before returning to school to study theater. She began her professional theater career in New York in 2014 in the play Billy and Ray. In film, she became known for her role in Woody Allen's L'Homme irrationnel (2015), and she has appeared in television productions such as HBO's The Wizard of Lies. In 2017 she appeared in the historical film Ask for Jane; the following year she joined the cast of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace as Linda Elwell and appeared in multiple episodes of the series Pose. Her path combines academic training and international experience — including work in advertising in China — with a transition to professional acting. Recognized for supporting roles in notable projects, von Haselberg has been building a presence in dramatic productions and television series.
